Just when I thought I knew something about Iceland, I find out about the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Recently, I was looking for new and interesting places to visit on my THIRD trip to Iceland. I was going with a buddy, Matt, and wanted to bring him places I had never been before. After some research, I found out about the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. It was INCREDIBLE. It has so many incredible features -- waterfalls, lava fields, black- and tan-sand beaches, lighthouses, adorable small towns, craters, volcanoes, caves, gorges and so much more. It's a 12 to 15 hour day trip from Reykjavik and I cannot recommend a day trip there enough. Check out the gallery below of my first (and most recent) exploration of Iceland's Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Did I miss anything great on the Snaefellsnes Peninsula? If so, comment below!
